Tim Augustine is an owner and corporate officer of Atwell LLC, an international land development consulting firm with offices in North America and Asia. He is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and leads corporate operations including strategy, international expansion, merger and acquisition integration and the implementation of global strategic marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining Atwell, Augustine was the founder of People Strategies LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in executive coaching and human resource strategy implementation with offices in Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. His professional experience also includes serving as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Unitech Systems, an international software company headquartered in Chicago.
Augustine earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and B.A. in Marketing and Speech Communications from Kent State University. Augustine served as an adjunct professor at Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Management in Chicago, teaching strategic marketing for the MBA Program. He has authored multiple books focused on career development and people strategies including his most recent book titled: How Hard Are You Knocking? (Oakhill Press), which was named one of the “Best Career Business Books” by Amazon.com. His next book is scheduled to be published this fall.
His seminars and books have been featured nationally on ABC, FOX and NBC and reviewed in USA Today, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, The Chicago Tribune, and The National Association for Campus Activities. He has made numerous radio and television appearances and has presented to over 400 organizations throughout the United States. He is a contributing writer to Inc. Magazine, Fast Company and Monster.com on topics pertaining to the people strategies of successful organizations. Similarly, he has published two “How-To” guides with Inc. Magazine focused on career development and corporate growth.
Active in professional organizations and within the community, Augustine is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, National Association of Campus Activities, and Delta Sigma Pi. He currently serves on the board of directors for Chicago’s Open Heart Magic and DSP Start-up. Augustine proudly served in the United States Air Force National Guard. He lives in the Ann Arbor area with his wife and three children.
